Arrival.

I arrived on the 21st of January, my destination is Trondheim. The trip to Trondheim was both tiring and exciting. The first leg, from Sydney to Singapore, was an exciting and fun one. All the exchange students stood at the back of the plane talking. We talked on the flight to Copenhagen but most of us also slept. I got 8hrs! It was interesting to look out the window at Russia. Wonder what’s going on down there! When I arrived in Copenhagen all the students going to Norway met at the Gate, we talked then boarded the plane. In Oslo I had to collect my big bag (30Kg’s!) and check it through to Trondheim, this nearly caused me to miss my plane.

When I arrived in Trondheim, I was greeted by my 1st host family and Councillor. They welcomed me and brought me back to their house. They made me feel very at home. No homesickness yet! In my room I have a ping pong table!! My host brother, Iver and I have played twice so far. Iver and I went to Pirbadet swimming pool on Sunday. The pool had amazing views of the mountains and had many fun activities like water slides, climbing wall, sauna & diving boards. Check it out here - http://www.pirbadet.no/

That night we went to my host fathers mother’s birthday dinner (my Host Grandma). I met the family and talked to everyone, I enjoyed this dinner meeting many welcoming family members. At the dinner we ate Elk Stew. I’ve been really enjoying the smoked Salmon over here too.

Today Monday 23rd, I woke at 5am and was very awake, the jet lag had really effected my energy. My host father also told me that across the street, Nazi's used to live there. I walked to school with Iver, about 10mins, and had a look around Byøsan. This is not the school I’m going to, mines a bit further & I think I have to get a bus. I start there on Wednesday.
